News news news, all over the place. Ready to go?

EP Details - fen
Box Five's forthcoming EP will be entitled fen (yep, all lowercase), and the tracklisting will be as follows:

1. On Dying (for Attention)
2. Exanimi
3. Ceasefire
4. Aqua Toffana

BONUS TRACK
5. Doctrines [Turtle Version]

The EP was recorded at Turtle Studios, as a series of "solo" songs written for one voice and one instrument. Most of them are Mary playing the studio's glorious 1928 Steinway B, and "Aqua Toffana" features Mary's brutha Joe on acoustic guitar. He's a good kid. <3

No word on a release date yet; Mary is still exploring her options, and is hoping to release the EP in conjunction with an indie record label...however, if worse comes to worse, she will just save up her pennies and press it herself. GIRL POWER! <3

If you're bummed about the lack of release date, never fear -- you can listen to an exclusive preview track from fen on the Turtle Studios website. The boys at Turtle selected "Exanimi" as their favorite tune, and have posted it on the "clips" page of their website. Simply jump to www.turtlestudios.com, click on the "CLIPS" link, and Exanimi by Box Five should be the first MP3 posted.

New Demo Posted - "Leave Me Alone"
Woohoo, there's a new Box Five demo on the jukebox page for no good reason!!! I love it when that happens!! :D

The song is called Leave Me Alone, and was recorded by Mary on her Pandora 4track several weeks ago in preparation for the Turtle Studios concert coming up in February. Yay! <3

The song is very short, and VERY silly, but Mary hasn't been able to get the tune out of her head since she wrote it, which she hopes means that it is catchy. :o)
