Hey yo hey yo! Let's make pop history! <3

Box Five, Live @ Turtle Studios on 2/3/06 (with strings and woodwinds!)
Next Friday, February 3rd, Box Five will be playing a very special show at Turtle Studios in historic Old City Philadelphia. This will be an amazing two-hour show, featuring oodles of Box Five tunes both old and new. The sound will be engineered by Turtle's supafly staff (so you know it's gonna sound awesome), and the line up will feature both classical instrumentalists and traditional rock-n-roll players. Pop music is never going to be the same again, kids...don't miss this sure-to-be-phenomenal event! <3

The show is free (yay!), but the venue only seats 40, and seating will be first come first served, so be sure to show up sorta early! <3

The performance will also coincide with Old City's "First Friday" festival for February, a monthly event in which the area's many art galleries showcase new exhibits and installations to the public. First Friday festivities usually last from 5pm-9pm, so you'll still have time to check out the sculptures and landscape paintings before moseying on over to Turtle for the show. :)

Even if you don't live in Philadelphia, you should totally visit to check out this show -- see the performance, scope out the art galleries, sneak a peek at the Liberty Bell...make a weekend out of it! <3 Should be fun! <3

Oh also! Three weeks later, see Box Five again at one of Philadelphia's premiere music venues, the Tin Angel, for an intimate "acoustic" show. The TA usually only books national acts, so Mary is very honored and excited to have an opportunity to play! <3

The show will take place on February 23rd at 8:30PM, and tickets will be $8. This will be a 21+ show, so don't forget your ID!

Mary will be joined onstage by Brent Missimer on classical, and Tim Warneck on cello.

Other acts playing that evening will include Liz Longley (with her guitarist Sarah Zimmerman), and goth-pop group Stygian Veil.

As always, complete info for both shows can be found on the tourdates page. :o)

Thanks kids, and hope to see you soon!
