More Tin Angel show MP3s
If you're hankering for more Box Five live, newsdiary has just the thing -- click HERE for even more MP3s from Box Five's Tin Angel gig on 2/23/06. At present, the only songs missing from the evening are Exanimi and Snow Hymn (but Mary's working on getting those too). Enjoy, and drop a line to let Mary know what you think!

Box Five featured on Whatever's Left
There is a lovely review of the aforementioned Box Five show on the awesome UK pop blog Whatever's Left. You can read the review HERE; it's also been posted on the Box Five pressbytes page. Thank you Hannah! <3

Line-up changes for Bryn Mawr Show, April 8th 2006
So poor Brent Missimer broke his wrist snowboarding recently (awww!), and sadly as a result he'll be unable to play guitar for a couple of weeks. Filling in for him at the Bryn Mawr show on April 8th will be Box Five alumnus Joe Bichner. Feel better soon, Brent! ♥

We will also have a new bassist for the Bryn Mawr show -- playing for the first time with Box Five will be the one and only John Lonczynski, better known as the quirky green-haired drummer of the Philly metal band Shined. Should be an interesting, eclectic mix -- don't miss it! <3

Anyhoo, hope you are going to the show, and see you there!

Love,
BOX FIVE

Hey angelz, where ya been all my life!? ♥

TWO NEW SONGS! MP3s from the Tin Angel Show (2/23/06)
OH MY GOSH!! If you head on over to the jukebox page, you'll notice two brand new B5 songs -- On Dying for Attention and Doctrines -- in the live section. These tunes were recorded on February 23rd during Box Five's gig at the Tin Angel, and featuring Brent Missimer on classical guitar, Tim Warneck on cello, and Doug Holton on congas/tambourine. Fun!

Two other recordings from that evening you may also enjoy (which are not yet on the jukebox page, for various reasons) are B5's swinging cover of the Beatles classic Run for You Life, and a very lovely version of (No Title). Yay! :D

Enjoy, and please let Mary know what you think! ♥

Mary Signs to Arts in Motion
Now that it's officially official, it can finally be announced - not long ago, Mary signed on with the cool kids of progressive classical ensemble Arts in Motion, and will serve as a composer and performer for the group over the next year. She is thrilled to be working with such a fabulous team, and looks forward to premeiring her first commissioned composition -- a lied in the style of Schubert -- at the ensemble's spring concert in April (check the tourdates page for more info).

Oh, and...
...Mary would also like to announce that she got her nose pierced. And it looks really cool. And it made her mom like really uspet, for some reason. Oh well.

Peace kids, a presto!

Hugz,
