New live MP3s from the 06/15/06 Tin Angel Concert Hungry for some new Box Five tunes? Hoo boy, are you in luck! <3 Freshly posted on the jukebox page are four -- count 'em, four! -- MP3s from the B5 concert that was held at the Tin Angel on June 15, 2006. A full-band version of "Killjoy" awaits you there; as does a live version of "Exanimi" (yes, it's back!) with the 'official' lyrics finally in place; and two songs never posted on the site before -- "Set Me Straight", and "Thank You For Ruining That Song For Me".
:)
If you don't feel like snooping around the jukebox page to find the new MP3s, here's a direct link for ya:

Can a lack of a steady internet connection and no web-editing software keep the world's cutest classipop ensemble from updating the newsdiary? Heck no!! Behold, the latest:
08/04/06: Arts in Motion Rocks it at Turtle Studios, First Friday Style On Friday, August 4th, be sure to catch Mary and the rest of the Arts in Motion kids at their sure-to-be-snazzy First Friday extravaganza, hosted by the totally awesome Turtle Studios of Old City Philly (225 Quarry Street; Phila PA, 19106). This two hour performance will feature the musical stylings of virtuoso violinist Jennifer Han, electronica mastermind Ben Camp, piano wizard Eric Haeker, visual artists John Phillips & Michael Stauffer, and -- you guessed it! -- a thirty minute set by Mary Bichner of Box Five. In addition to performing the AiM-commissioned "How Should I Your True Love Know", Mary will also throw down some of her favorite B5 solo songs. Hurrah!
Show starts at 9pm and is free free free. Hope to see you there! <3
For even more shows -- playing keys for Nicki Jaine on August 19th, a stint at "Arts in Motion Presents: provocateur" at the Philadelphia Museum of Art on September 1st, an acoustic Box Five gig outside a charming clock shoppe on October 6th, and yet another Nicki Jaine gig on October 19th -- get thee to the tourdates page; further details abound! :D
Box Five in the CLog Yay! There was a lovely little write-up on the Box Five tune "Ceasefire" on CLog, the official staff blog of Philadelphia's Citypaper. It's been added to the pressbytes segment as well. Thanks, CP dudes! *hugs*
More news on the way -- additional shows, a disc announcement, and...polymodal synesthetic redheads on TV? Stay tuned!
Hugs, BOX FIVE

Computer Woes, Part XXIV Sorry for the lack of updates recently! Additionally, the power supply to Mary's ancient laptop breathed its last tonight, so until she gets a new one in the mail this here news page might be a tad slow...
...but DON'T WORRY! New shows are on their way soon, and lots of 'em! Yay! :D
Talk to everybody soon!
