IT'S A MIRACLE! :D Mary's computer is FINALLY fixed so she can ACTUALLY make updates again. Hooray! :D

Mary of Box Five plays Durham, NC on 07/05/08!
Yahoo, our first out-of-town show! On July 5th, Miss Mary shall be playing a solo set at Bull City Headquarters in lovely Durham, NC with thetourist (YAY!), Charles Latham, and the Monologue Bombs. Show starts at 9pm, and tickets are five bucks. Plus, it's all-ages! Awesome!
Performers from the gig (including Mary!) will also appear on radio station WKNC the day before (July 4th), at 5pm. Who knows what kind of zany antics will ensue! :D Well, YOU will, if you stream the radio station live from your computer, by clicking here.

NY Songwriters Circle: We've been blogged
Thanks also to everyone who came out to the Songwriters Circle gig on June 26th -- the room was PACKED with wonderful wonderful people! :D It was great to see you all, hooray! Cheers also to Dan May, Dan Ferrari, the Hustle, and Andrew Lipke for their performances!

Box Five, Live @ the World Cafe on June 26, 2008
Hooray! Next Thursday, June 26th, Mary will be joined by guitarist Steve Toy for a special Box Five "acoustic duo" set during the New York Songwriters' Circle, taking place at Philadelphia's Lovely World Cafe. Details are below!:
When: June 26th, 2008 @ 8pm
Where: Upstairs @ World Cafe [3025 Walnut St., Philadelphia PA]
Cost: $10.00 (all ages)
Box Five Line-up: Mary Bichner (voice, piano, rockenspiel) and Steve Toy (guitar)
Also Performing That Evening: Andrew Lipke, Dan May, Nora Whittaker w/ KUF Knotz and Dan Ferrari.

Hey all! Mary's computer crashed two weeks ago (aaaargh) and is still crashed (AAAAARGH!!), but finally she has gotten her mitts on a borrowed internet connection so here is the news for you:
A summer of shows
YEAH! Box Five is gearing up for a very exciting performance season! We'll be playing the World Cafe Live in Philadelphia, PA on June 26th; Bull City Headquarters in Durham, NC on July 5th (yay, our first out-of-town show!); and the grand old Philadelphia Folk Festival on August 16th! Please check out our tourdates page for all of the details.
